Thought I would say Hi!
on: January 24, 2016, 06:46:57 PM
A long time lurker here who has finally decided to actually start contributing!

I was gifted a Juice S2 for Christmas and it has reignited my fascination with multi tools. I am currently looking at other Leatherman offerings but I know that my options are very limited thanks to UK knife laws.

I look forward to learning a lot more about multi tools from you guys.

Yes,our laws are limiting, but gave a look through the Mod Squad, and you'll see some of our solutions :tu:

Thank you for the warm welcome guys.

All I really want is a Supertool 300 without the knives. However I know if I attempted such a thing I would surely break it beyond repair!

Not an insurmountable problem at all. Hardest part is deciding what to put in their place   :D There's lots of advice here available, and tons of people to answer questions. If you really get in a pickle, there's enough of us in the UK to help  ;)

Welcome aboard, and enjoy your time here

But if you're uncle isn't called Bob, don't worry it's still easy  :D

I have just noticed a post in the LM forum about a new knifeless Rebar which would suite me almost perfectly. It will probably be a while before it's available to purchase though.

Both 50ft and myself built our own bladeless Rebars, with better tool loads. I think it's fair to say we were both underwhelmed. I much prefer my modded bladeless Fuse.

If your not up for modding, have a look at the Bladeless Gerber MP600. Built like an AK47,with a great tool load.

IMO. I wouldn't buy it.

Have a US Member take the blades off one and send it to you for half the asking price.

:imws:

I was underwhelmed by the Rebar, with and without blades.

I think my knifeless Fuse mod is WAY better, and so is my knifeless Diesel mod. Another favourite knifeless mod of mine is the modified MP400 (for urban use, when I don't need a saw). I will be cooking up my own version of a knifeless MP600 soon  :D
