How is the company(companies?) not facing some sort of ramifications by now? Seems like these blow up more than they work.

The first time I saw one was a WTF? moment.  Shortly after I saw a guy take a header at 3mph and I just laughed my ass off.
There's no such thing as "Too pretty to carry".  There's only "Too pretty NOT to carry"...... >:D
