Way to go Stunkel...can't beat a knife that you can do crosswords with, tighten screws and open the mail!

Day 5 : preparing for Geocaching.
Maybe a night cache this night or else tomorrow a long walk.
You can not choose the weather here in Belgium.

Is that a Sabercat? I love that bag. Do you happen to have a post of your geocaching carry?

Yes, thats a Sabercat.
Lots of space for my GC-gear (a Beefy with the usual stuff), a camera, 2 Nalgene bottles of 14oz and a small poncho.
My GPS is a Garmin Etrex 30x.
The wife used the smaller one, the Proteus.

This is the kit for a small trip (4 to 5 hours), for a whole day i also carry a small backpack for  the food.

not a Swisschamp required,

That is the thing with a SAK, you can carry it all the time; never know when you might save the day.
Maybe the big ones start hampering this handiness.

Some museums don't allow folding knives though.

and also by the parade for Carnival in the Center there was a lot of police checkpoints by the threat of terrorism (remember Paris).
I didn't know we had so many police in a small town like Tongeren.

But i had the VX Cadet with my Smartphone.

Day 9: First cutting some peppers. My usual knife feels a bit unemployed now.

Later the mailman brings a little box with some new pieces: a Alox Electrician, a Signature and some blue scales for my Swisschamp and for the Explorer of my son.
Only downfall: the scales i ordered (normaly for a Cybertool) have no place for a pen.

Good, It was a half-yearly check-up after a kidney transplant and a heart operation he had 7 years ago.
But next month he gonna need a operation on his back. His third major surgery after his kidneys and heart and he's only 13 years old.

Here he's hanging in an old German WW2-locker with some bayonets.
Collecting WW2 material is my other expensive hobby. And the wife. And the kids.
