OK, I ordered the Pro Scout but haven't got any answers from the seller...
Been almost a week now so I got desperate and got the FliK...  ::)

Anyways, I really hope that get my hands on that MP600 soon.
Next week I'm going to try a new place to buy it.
Some people just don't want my money.

And what about the FliK...
Ahaha! Well, ummmm... first.
It was REALLY stuck when I opened the box, brand new tool for gods sake!
I had to use two leathermans to get the plierhead out, it was stuck halfway.
I even damaged the Gerber right away. Just a bit.

After I got the plierhead out it wouldn't still open the tool or anything, the plierhead was bended to the other side really bad.
The buttons on the sides didn't do anything either, they were stuck also.

Then I drowned the damn thing in a mug full of gun oil and left it there for few hours.

Leatherman saved the day and after that I got the pliers open like they should be.
I also had to bend small metallic clips inside the handles a bit so the pliers would slide in them somewhat accurately.

Took a long time to clean the tool so that the gun oil would come out and that the FliK wouldn't be so damn slippery.

Aand now the thing works ok.

I really try to like this tool now, but it sure was a harsh start.
Will probably take it to parts and check out what is wrong, maybe grind some new parts or something.

Anyways, happy end!
 :D

Sounds about right for Gerber. You can never be sure what you are going to get. My Flik was fine out of the box, and has been G2G since. However, some people on here have had issues with the them.

But anyways, congrats on the Flik. And good luck in your quest for a MP600

I had a bad start with the Flik too. I ended up trading it away, and never got another. With a bit more thought, it could have been a much better tool. Although I prefer outboard tools in general, I seem to have had better inboard configured tools from Gerber, with the exception of the MP700. Their Saf-T-Locking system isn't as reliable at keeping the unused tools in the handle when another one I deployed for some reason (a problem me and Kirky had on the Fit model, and which I have also experienced on the Strata).

I wasn't this problem that I experienced on the Flik though, instead it was a defective locking mechanism on the pawls behind the pliers. The stubby drivers weren't to my liking either. I much prefer the 400, 600 700 and Diesel
