Our first date together...I hope you're a meat eater.
on: February 07, 2016, 02:04:56 AM
Wow...She is a beauty. Had to share this with my fellow enablers. Absolute perfection...my Atlas that is (the NY was pretty f**king good also). This was truly a moment I loved and truly enjoyed...My very first steak cut with something other than your typical steak knife. My brand new Victorinox Atlas. Smooth as silk and somehow completely different...even better than expected. I love this. What a great knife. What a great dinner. Perfect.  :tu:

Steak is great. Eating is great. SAKs are great.

When you combine these three reasons...  :tu: :tu:

Nothing like a good steak, a good drink, and a good knife. But I cringe a little thinking about that knife edge against that ceramic plate!  :o

Thank you :salute:

I don't use the Becker much, but when I do it is fantastic!

Yeah, when I use a SAK as a steak knife, I only cut part-way through, then flip it over and cut the rest of the way. Otherwise, yeah, you're sacrificing the edge.

If you are using a SAK to cut your steak, insert fork, then lift steak slightly off plate. About a quarter inch will do. Then, If you're SAK is sharp enough, slice it hanging off your fork.

Don't get too serious, just enough will do.
