My beloved Leek / Warranty
on: February 07, 2016, 03:26:52 AM
My favorite knife of all time is off to Kershaw for a new blade. I dropped it from the third upper boat rack at work , it landed tip down and broke a good portion off. as I read the warranty page at Kershaw I saw that they will replace any blade for 10 $ ! So off it goes and I will not see my trusty friend for 6 weeks. I'll post when it arrives all fixed.

Six weeks is much longer than my 1660 just took for warranty work. I'd expect to see it again in two or three weeks.

I own a number of Leeks
A stonewashed, liner lock, is in my pocket at this minute
The delicate point is both a mixed concern, and a great feature of this model

I baby them a bit, for fear of just what happened to your Leek
Dropping a knife at some  time is unavoidable unless you  tie it to yourself, or never use it
If I do break a point and I am going to  try to modify the knife into a tanto  (I have backup Leeks)

Of course,  the safety will become useless, but I rarely use it

Good luck,  I hope your Leek arrives sooner
