Asked another way: Has the Leatherman Corporation itself has been helpful in clarifying all the 's and 'I dunno's' and 'Approx' issues that surround the Leatherman PST chronology? It appears not, unlike Gun or Surgical Tool Mfgr's who have meticulous records of absolutely everything about their products and modifications. If not...I'm surprised some former Mgmt. or employees haven't stepped up and unofficially clarified the Leatherman Chronology. Locomotiveman Tom
In that case now that I understand your question properly, no. Not as far as I know.
To be completely honest from my perspective most of the people who work for Leatherman don't collect like we do. I remember seeing a video and a Leatherman worker was talking about how he had soooo many Leathermans (if I recall correctly) and the number was 7. He owns 7 Leathermans. Now for most people that would be more than they need for a lifetime, but for most of us that's child's play. Most people do not care about the chronology of Leatherman tools. Besides our sick group here of course.
A lot of the early tools were not dated so we rely on old catalogs and narrowing down certain traits of the tool to determine dates of production until the numbering came along.
