Decided to pop in a couple of my photos from a trip to the same area in 2008

This is the bothy we stayed in.

For those who do not know a bothy is typically an adandoned shepherd's dwelling where climbers go and bivvy
No power, running water, electricity etc
You carry in all your food, fuel, booze etc - We carried in a lot of all of those and made it a gourmet evening!!

We had to cross a river to get there - This is me on the way out - We had to break the ice to wade - Brrr cold!!
You can see the bothy in the background!!

I think the river by ruined cottage in Gareth's photo is this same river !!   :tu:

This was the team on the way in

I think it is the same loch as in your photo Gareth just above Kinlochleven - I never knew it was also called Kinlochmore!!

We climbed Stob Corie Easian on our second day

Great pics Huntsman. :tu:  Yup, we're in exactly the same place.  I've stayed in the same bothy and it is indeed just on the other side of the river from where I was camping.  Same loch too. :)

Kinlochmore doesn't seem to get the same recognition as Kinlochleven (despite being essentially the same place) so I thought I'd give the 'More lot a name check. :D

That's a very impressive achievement by your friend, as you say the SMC are VERY selective about who qualifies. :salute:
