The Trailhawk is a lovely
little tool and I chose it because the hammer is functional and overall it looked the most authentic......for me. The cutting edge is small so.........
I've just finished the slight mod on the Viking Hand Axe which entailed loosing the grub screw, staining the handle and fitting the head properly (slightly better).......
Same as on the Trailhawk the handle supplied is the wrong shape and size to really be fitted properly.
Not used it much, but the balance feels a bit funny, I suspect I might be shortening the handle slightly, and something beefier might also help.
