Looking very good there Tony! Made up for the disappointment.....I thought it'd be pink, and glittery, and maybe have a feather boa lanyard

Seriously though,love the pot lifter!

That pot lifter should work as a cap lifter as well  :tu:

I thought that the tang would be hidden completely by the process you used to shape the micarta. Nice way to get more shape in it without leaving a gap to fill later.

Excellent Tony, what a great idea of molding the micarta onto the handle..........I'm going to have to steal that!

So did I Rob but I didn’t give the handle enough thought at the beginning,
It was going to be fully hidden but it turned out too big, I had to remove a lot of material on the back,
ended up down to the steel and the handle is still a bit large,

Thanks G  :salute:
I'm sure I did a post about that method somewhere

it's still a WIP so any ideas are welcome  :tu:

I remember that thread, identified the axe left behind by house breakers that I scored.....but somehow never saw the finished product.
The rope wrap I gave mine is a blister factory and the rope partially slipped off recently.......so that's another rpoject  :D

Think I will try some jimping

That didn’t go as well as it could have (probably shouldn’t have used the disc cutter :(

Let’s make it in to a thumb ramp

Convex grind with a 3inch scandie grind next to the handle, just about finished now  :tu:

That looks like it could sever a limb or two.  :D

If you've got those cylindrical diamond burs that come with dremel kits they are good to add jimping.
PM me or email sakmodder [at] gmail . com if you are looking for custom SAK work.

Reminds me slightly of a Sling Blade, good movie BTW.  The ramp appears to be a much better choice.  Seems to fit the hand better for such a beastly tool.

That handle looks as if could accommodate a two hand hold.
