WTB: ST300 plier head and large Vic scissors
on: April 15, 2016, 09:39:14 AM
Help Evil create. Working on a prototype. Currently using an old style surge plier head. In the market to purchase a ST300 type plier head. Can trade as well + money. I will end up making my own scissors for this project but in the meantime while prototyping, I am looking for a large pair of Victorinox scissors that I can just throw inside it for proof of concept. The closer to 70mm/2.75" from end to end the better. I'll give you credit for your contribution when the project is done. Anyway, if you think you might have something to be of help, let me know. Thanks.....

Thank you for the link, hiraethus. I will definitely keep loki in mind in the future. I got the plier head sorted out today by swapping out the ST300 head that I put on my Surge years ago. It haven't been rotating it into my EDC lately, so no real loss.....

Hey there, Slaughter. What have you got and how much do you want for them if I am able to use them? This project is very scarce on space compared to most multitools, hence the size limit.....

Well, here is what I have. The larger scissors (from a 91mm  Vic) measure 3.25" end to end. The smaller one from a 58mm Classic measures just under 2" end to end (dont have one disassembled ATM, but I have a couple 58mm's on the chopping block).

I cant seem to upload pics at the moment though.

While im measuring scissors, the ones from my Juice S2 are about 3" end to end, as are the ones in my 85mm Wenger Evo16 (im not parting those out though!)

If either of the Vic scissors sound like something you could use, PM me, and we will work something out.

Thank you for checking, sLaughter. Upon measuring, unfortunately, none of the above will properly fit this particular project. I knew beforehand just about everything would have to be custom. Minus the plier head and perhaps the pivots, everything is from scratch so far. Again, thanks..... :salute:
