Vintage SAK Restoration
on:
April 20, 2016, 08:01:03 PM
Has anyone posted any tutorials on replacing springs or other tools on vintage SAKs as a restoration project? Photograph walk-through or youtube video? I'm also curious what products and tools people use to polish restore stainless and carbon steel tools, and older plastic scale material.
Thanks for any and all info

There are videos on how to disassemble SAKs and reassemble them. And I found a tutorial on how to remove ad decals from them, which you would be able to use the same technique to restore the scales. However it all depends on how much restoration needs to be done and what you want the outcome to look like.

Can use a jewelers polishing mop to clean the plastic scales and even remove any branded decals of them as well
