New Copper Olight
My pre-order of the Olight single AAA copper light arrived today. Initial impressions are that the machining and threads are both well done, fine and smooth. I suspect the raw copper will patina quite nicely. Single setting light, which is my preference actually. Nice bright white output with no tinting. Rather a wide spot with a decent throw in a dark room. With the door closed in a bathroom without windows, it made it quite easy to see in the entire room. I use the Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries.
It's small size should make it pocket friendly I'd think. You can see in the picture, it is about exactly the same length and thickness as the Minichamp. Tough to go wrong for $20.
I'm sure more detailed reviews will be offered by the flashlight fanatic guys.
They are also offering a limited copper run in the CR123 size.
