You may be able to take 2 springs from 2 recruits and make it work. Finding just a spring let alone scissors is getting really hard.
If I remember correctly, wait, what was I saying?

I have good scissors, and a broken spring left in my parts box. Just thought I'd though out a line and see what bites. I have several recruit springs so I'll give them a look. Thanks!

I've made 91mm Scissor springs fit the 84mm scissors fine. There are 2 areas that need slight modding.
1...The circle that compresses into the scissor tang needs a tiny bit dremeling from the end with a sanding disk, then squeezing to a tighter radius with a pair of pliers (careful, easy to crush it!).
2...the bend 1/2 way up the spring needs a tighter radius to allow the scissors to close properly/fully. Again, squeeze the spring carefully till it's right with pliers.

Takes a short while to do, but beats trying to track down an elusive spring.

This is good info for scissor repair, but I think the thread starter was looking for a BACKSPRING, not a scissor spring. They seem even harder to get than teh scissor spring. Always thought there were only 3 sizes - for 58, 74/84 mm and 91/111 mm scissors. Learned something new.

Yes, after reading the OP more carefully I see I went off on a bit of a tangent. Oops.
