KaBar Tactical Spork
on: May 14, 2016, 05:07:19 PM
Not really sure where the most appropriate place for this, but since it is a spork and sporks are an outdoorsmans best friend... here it is.I apologize if this has been covered already somewhere else. Looks pretty cool, in that it covers all of your utensil needs in 6.8 inches and weighs nearly nothing. List price is $6.93 and KaBar says it is made in the USA :tu:

I wonder if that counts as a concealed blade?  :D

I saw this a couple of days ago and I've yet to decide if I think it's worth getting or not. I guess I'll have to get one and find out!

After KaBar announced the zombie killer line a few years ago I wouldn't be surprised if they made a hockey mask too.

It would look nice alongside the Cold Steel baseball bat!

Uh...? I don't get the point.  Painting it black and calling it tactical doesn't make it so--a spork is a spork.  Still, gotta admit, I think those MKII style handles are cool.

The distortion on that crunchy guitar riff made that spork so much more tactical too.  :D

MUST BUY! I saw it a few days ago but seeing as it's a Kabar thought it would be closer to 60 usd than 6 usd. For this price I must get one.

I was expecting something that was designed to take care of an MRE and fight off Daesh in the event I run out of ammo. Nah-meen?

Still, I am digging this thing.

The Spork dealing end is rather small in comparison to, let's say, a real spork from Snow Peak.

• Knife: Ka-Bar Tactical - Tears more that it cuts on first use.
• Price: K-Bar & Snow Peak are about the same ball park, no winner there.
• Coolness: Ka-Bar is sleek, black, new, cool. Snow Peak comes in fabulous colors, long or short.
• Usability: Snow Peak holds more, prongs stick in the food, and are higher heat resistant. Ka-Bar, unless baby-spoon size is just right for you, meh on portion size. Prongs don't stick worth beans, tines aren't long enough. Heat resistance? Well, should withstand heat from food, but past that it's still nylon aka plastic.
• Pocket carry: Snow Peak is a clear winner, unless you're carrying in a cargo pouch. Ka-Bar will poke your thighs like no tomorrow. It gets annoying, fast.
• Weight: Snow Peak wins again.
• Collectable: Okay, the Snow Peak will gets used, and a lot. Ka-Bar is more of a fluff item, so it will more than likely end up as a shelf queen.
• Concealability: Snow Peak can be hidden in more locations since it is flatter. However black is lees likely to be seen. In the pocket though, Ka-Bar prints.
• Colors: Snow Peak wins again!

Thanks for the pic.  I hadn't realized how small it was.
