Starter EDC kit
on: May 25, 2016, 12:50:25 AM
Woody had been a dear friend of mine for many years, recently he saw some of my pocket dump photos and shown interests. So I prepared a starter EDC kit for him, some simple, inexpensive, efficient items, most importantly "battle tested" by me.

I hope these items will provide him convenience in daily life and prepare him for the unexpected.
EDC: Black Talon, Black Cat, Spirit, LD02

So when is he going to make an account?...

Also, is spring on the pliers on broken, or did you swap it for Rev pliers?

Lol, whatever works! That's a great starter kit, for sure :tu: Tool, light, a 'biner and a good sheath. I think Wingman is a fantastic tool, especially considering the price.

As long as Woody carries, he will never be unprepared with that kit.

Hopefully we all get to meet Woody in the new members subforum soon ;)

That's a great starter kit.  Whatever you do, don't give the poor guy a SAK or he'll be ruined for life.

Wingman was one of my first also.  It never let me down with whatever I asked from it.

Woody should be set to go however since this is MTO a SAK would round this kit out.

Great way to spread the disease preparedness Kam  :tu:

The kit is still Work in progress, I might change out few items later.
Maybe add a EAB and a mini prybar, change to a different light.

The Wingman is a good starter MT, it served me well and got me hooked into this addiction.

Wingman was my Leatherman gateway but it's still among my favorites and I carry it everyday.

Here is the final section of gadgets. They are special to me;
Wingman was my first MT, Croc was my first OPMT, EAB was my first folder, and LD01 was my first flashlight. All these items are guilty of getting hooked into this addiction.

I can't wait to hear of how these tools make day to day chores easier.  The EAB is such a terrific alternative to a dedicated knife.   I also have a fondness for the Wingman.  He'll certainly get a lot of use from those items and wonder how he got along without them.

Great job Kam  :tu:

I love my Leatherman, and I use the Crock all the time. The flashlight has been very helpful countless times already. Thank you so much, I'm stoked everything works great with my daily use.

Awesome! It always feels good to give someone a gift they can really use.
Now he just needs to set up a MTO account so he can get properly corrupted  >:D
