Just wait until Zed gets here, he's the kukri guy.
This video will demonstrate how Nepalese craftsmen make Khukuri (or Kukri) knives. These beautiful and functional knives are made using the most primitive of tools and techniques, yet have proved to be of greatest value to military as well as civilian population, worldwide.
Now this one looks interesting... not a traditional Kukri but non-the-less is interesting... Liking the finish on this one found over here as opposed to the one at KHHI.
First off buy from khukuri blades I've 4 and there awesome, as for a solid model there all well made but my mini jungle pana is a true workhorse

The only advice I can offer that's on par with Zed's is don't buy Windlass Steelcrafts. The one thing every kukri guy agreed on last time I researched these knives is that WS kukris are godawful unless you just want a wall hanger.
The best Kukri is the one you have when you need one; I been keeping one in my pocket and it has been pretty useful.

Never seen a Kukri folder before!
Not the same as Kampher's (which I think is a Cold Steel) but Boker Magnum do a folding kukri as well.
