This place is going to make me go broke!!!

I got my first Leatherman, a PST back in the late '80s. Carried it daily until the original Wave came out. The outside accessible knife blades made it more attractive to me. So I got the Wave. I carried it for many years, but later added an original Supertool. It was sent in to repair broken pliers and they replaced it with an ST200.

Still carried the Wave but added a C33X and a Skeletool later.  So this was my "collection"...



Since finding this forum, I have added the following...

Skeletool CX
New Gen BO Wave
Bit Kit
Freestyle CX
Style CS

So my collection now looks like this...



AND I have an OG Wave and an ST300 shipping out to me Monday.  What have you folks done to me??

    You have no idea... think I was at 3 when Juli Warner recommended this site to me. Wave, Crunch, PST

    We won't go there... over 20 the first few years, then a SAK, scale mod, ReCharge mod... :ahhh

There is no beginning,or ending,and for this we are thankful,cos now is hard enough to understand!

I won one yesterday with an OG Wave, a new Wave, a Skeletool, 3 Wingman, and a couple of Juices that all need warranty work.

The OG Wave just needs a spare part, so I may ask around to see if any of the modders have one.

It's a sickness I tell ya!!!!  On top of the OG Wave and ST300 that arrived today, I just picked up an ST200 on eBay for $26!!!!!

In general, it depends on each individual's resilience but I'd say you probably have a long way ahead of you.

Also, as already noted, you haven't touched Victorinox goodness yet. I recommend you stay away from any alox stuff, Swisstools or the dreaded Vic scissors  :whistle:   >:D

Yup, because after you get "all the Leatherman tools you need," you'll want to try a Gerber and a SOG. After those you'll think, "maybe I should try one of those SwissTools people are always talking about." And of course that will lead to Victorinox SAKs, and inevitability to the diminishing Wenger SAKs. You will never be done chasing after those, so in the meantime, the lovely blades over in the edged tools forum will catch your eye, and you'll be off looking for Kershaws and Spydercos. But what about those traditional knives? Better get a GEC or two, just to see what that's all about. In the process, you'll see some EDC pictures with some really cool flashlights and watches in them... Lithium ion batteries and chargers, quartz and mechanical movements, it goes deeper and deeper. And you'll need something to carry it all in, so there's some really cool bags out there.

Finally one day you'll get tired of it all and sell a bunch of stuff you don't use and don't like collecting on eBay. But that's OK. You had fun, you found what works, and you made some friends along the way. It's absolutely, certifiably crazy. But it's a blast.

Oh, that should be your next Leatherman! I love mine. That and the Core. :)

You may get all the tools "you need" and then it won't stop but it may slow down :think: Well hopefully it does :D Then you will get more picky about what you get and you will hunt the harder to find models then :D Don't get me started on all the SAKs you need though before it slow down :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh :D
