I just posted this over on Facebook but I know a lot of you don't go there so I thought I'd share here too.  Besides which, it's nice to talk about the forum elsewhere, but without discussion here the talk elsewhere is worthless.

A little over ten years ago I started a website which, on the surface, was a place to discuss and review the merits, advantages and disadvantages of folding plier tools.  Along the way we added a little bit here and a little bit there, and it grew into more than that- yes we have a forum, an encyclopedia, the longest list of honest tools reviews in the world, a gallery.... but I think the greatest component of that site is the community that has developed.

July marks our tenth year of being open to the public, and we will, as every year, celebrate throughout the entire month.   I encourage any and all manufacturers, designers, dealers etc to contact me and help us really make our Tenth Anniversary one to remember. 

Some of the notable people that I would like to publicly thank are (and this list is not in any specific order or complete, and I apologies if I forgot you):

Let's face it, in ten years there have been a lot more people than that, but it's early and I haven't had breakfast yet.

If you are a fan of the outdoors, being prepared, being active,  getting things done, or collecting knives, guns, tools (multi, power or traditional!), in a friendly, casual and respectable atmosphere, maybe it's time you had a closer look at www.Multitool.org.  Just be sure you stick around next month when the party gets started, because you won't want to miss it!

Usually I drop a couple of hints as to the anniversary stuff, but mostly keep it quit until it happens.  This year it seems everyone is already primed and ready, so why not channel that into making it bigger and even more exciting?  After all, this is a hell of a milestone.  There are very few things in my life that have lasted ten years, so having Multitool.org still going is huge for me.

And besides, we still have a few surprises in store, so I doubt anyone is going to be disappointed!

This would be a really boring place if it was a one man show.  Everyone here is just as much a part of this place as I am.

From what I remember, technology advanced more in the past 100 years, than in the past 1000, and more in the past 10. than in the past 100... thing exponentially, in mathematical terms

I have been here about 38 days shy of 3 years,  but it seems like home, and I feel like my friendships are as strong as longer duration ones.

In this challenge,  carry one(1) Pliers-based or Non-pliers multitool that we always have prejudice against, hate or even fear and post a picture everyday for 30 days Using EDC items randomly selected with a poker hand, post a photo of your EDC or a component of the EDC that got used during the course of the day for 4 weeks (or 30 consecutive days) In the spirit of the Batman utility belt. A 30 day challenge were you have to have at least 2 things clipped to your belt (preferably more). Start a thread and post a picture of your clipped gear each day for 30 days. Participate  in a Challenge thread and post a photo of a Leatherman Skeletool for thirty (30) consecutive days. Only for the 14th year Anniversary Challenge. Post a photo of any gear for thirty (30) consecutive days during the MTo anniversary month. You have one of your pictures in the 2020 calendar or in top three of the calendar poll in any month of the given year. Participate  in a Challenge thread and post a photo of a LM Pocket Survival Tool for thirty (30) consecutive days. Start a new thread and post a photo of the multitool for thirty (30) consecutive days. Start a new thread and post a photo of the LM Crunch  Multitool for fifteen (15) consecutive days. Start a new thread and post a photo of the keychain for thirty (30) consecutive days. Start a new thread and post a photo of the multitool for thirty (30) consecutive days. You have one of your pictures in the 2018 calendar or in top three of the calendar poll in any month of the given year. You have one of your pictures in the 2019 calendar or in top three of the calendar poll in any month of the given year. You have one of your pictures in the 2017 calendar or in top three of the calendar poll in any month of the given year. Start a new thread and post a photo of the multitool for thirty (30) consecutive days.

Wow, 10yrs! Congrats boss, I sooo wish I was here back then, sometimes it does feel like I was, yet other times not even close.. In 9days I will have completed my 5th year aboard this wonderful forum, and I have no clue what I would do without it! Yes the info on tools, sak, and other stuff is great, but it's the people and friends that make it the BEST!! :tu:
