On my MP400 the blade was dull from the box. Other than that it is a fine tool.

Don't know if it was sharpened before I got it or not but it was sharp when I got it :tu:

They sharpen up quickly and easily. It won't be a razor, but it will hold a good working edge for a good amount of time.  :tu:
There's no such thing as "Too pretty to carry".  There's only "Too pretty NOT to carry"...... >:D

It seems like good metal and if not for it being a combo blade :facepalm: I love that pattern style blade :cheers:

MP400 went on holidays on the Atlantic seashore today (French side):
(got some headaches removing sand in the pivots  :facepalm: after this pic btw)

Sand in the pivots!! :ahhh  One of the good things about the MP400 and 600 is that they are pretty easy to strip apart and give them a good clean.
