It's time again for the Great Multitool.org Bottle Opener Challenge!

 :drink:

For those who don't know how the Bottle Opener Challenge works, every day this month I will post a photo of me using a different tool to open a bottle.  I will keep updating a list of the tools I use.  If I use the same tool twice or if I miss a day we will choose a winner from the pool of participating members.

So, how do you participate?  Simple, your job is to make it harder for me- you need to post photos of yourself opening bottles using your own tools.  Every tool you use to open a bottle (no posing please, you are required to actually use it!   :pok:) also gets added to the list and I am not allowed to use that tool to open a bottle.  Here's the twist- if you use a specific tool, and then after at some point I use that tool (perhaps I forgot it was used) then you automatically win and I lose!

How's that for fun?  Plus, you can make it even more difficult for me- I will only be able to post once per day, and the date stamps on the photo I upload will prove that I did it that day, while everyone else can post as many as they like, as often as they like in order to knock tools out of the running!

You have to legitimately open the bottles, although you can open them for others, you don't need to consume the contents.  Also, the contents don't need to be adult oriented, they can be any kind of bottle, as long as you use a SAK or multitool to open it and provide pictures!  While you are at it, feel free to tell us a little about whatever beverage you are opening as well!

Here's the Great Bottle Opener Challenge from last year so you can see how it works:  http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,60504.0.html

So what do you win?  That's an easy one, how about this?

It's a Movado Purple Leatherman Skeletool colored by the fine folks at Texas Toolcrafters.  This one has a few small dings in it as seen below, but it is still brand new in the box and those are just wear marks from shipping.

It will come to you in this pretty Leatherman box, all shiny with all the associated paperwork:

Any questions?

Here's my first entry, and it's a bizarre one- I'm using a Victorinox Compact to pry the top off a 10L water bottle for my dogs.  I'm using the bottle opener, and it's a bottle so it counts!   >:D

Please copy and paste this list, adding your own tools to the list!

For some reason it looks like I'm opening it in Australia!   :ahhh

For those looking for an OCD Merit Badge, the list often gets jumbled, and helping to keep it straight is a great way to win one!   :pok:

Did you actually use it to open the bottle?  If so, put it on the list.  If you just posed it then no.  :P

Good to hear!

Today's addition is a Timberline SwissKeyTool.   It might be a fake, I'm honestly not sure- it was the one I obtained for the infamous $2 Challenge.  Either way, this is getting to be some list already!   :ahhh

By the way, this is one of the worst bottle opener designs out there. What kind of idiot puts a knife blade right where you need to put your thumb to lever the top off?   :ahhh

May next year we need to do a band aid challenge to see if I can open a bottle a day with this and see if I can go the whole month without getting stitches.....   :ahhh
