Word up for the ORIGINAL PocketToolX owners group! :MTO:

Showing Newer (then) and Original. Lowtech did me good on a watchband rescue that I sent him my original and trusted PocketToolX Piranha. :D

Have been carrying this version for some time, even when merchandising for Frito Lay. There are times when I have to bust a taped box to open & break it down. So used the box opener part and a tad bit of sweat to friction-cut the tape.

I had the V2 (not the very original) Pockettool X version and actually broke it when using it.  They let me keep the broken one and sent a replacement.  Gotta look for that old one...

Saw a Titanium Piranha on Ebay for $90. Was testing the guy and threw a $45 counter bid in - as he has it as Or Best Offer. >:D Man, then language that came back from him. Nah, he can sit on it. :twak: His Ebay score isn't quite 100% either.

Isn't titanium weaker than steel? Know the tangs on the Snow Peak titanium spork flex more than I would of thought. If one had to bear down on a titanium Piranha wouldn't that cause the metal to give way or strip out? It's not worth $90 to me unless money didn't matter much. Someone else maybe, like Chako.

Was that the one with the nail puller embedded in it? I wanted that one, couldn't find it anywhere. :ahhh

No, just after that was eliminated.  It was made out of one of the "super-steels" which may have made it more brittle.  The final production Piranhas were 420HC or something similar I think.

I have a couple of the 154cm versions. One serves as a keychain for a spare house key in the garage. Makes it easy to find if you know where to look. The other one is somewhere, not sure where. If memory serves, the original was S30V.
