Custom Titanium Pen

A few years ago a friend machined some pens to promote his company- oddly enough, a machine shop.  I have one, and I am certain I have done a pictorial of it in the past, but I can't seem to find it.  In the meantime, here is the latest one:



This pen would fit in well with all of the tactical pens on the market, although it it not meant to be a tactical pen.  It also doesn't look like a tactical pen, again because it isn't a tactical pen, but I imagine it is just as sturdy as any of them- certainly it is as solid as any of the ones I've ever handled.



Unlike the last one that had a red anodized cap on it, this one is pure brushed titanium and is as beautiful as they come.  It feels nice and balanced, and writes nicely.



The cap screws off then screws back on the opposite side so you can write with it.  It secures to both ends very nicely, and the cap doesn't rattle around in the slightest.



No detail was spared in making this pen- after all, it was designed to showcase the talents of the shop, so everything had to be done, and done well.  The result, I think at least, and hope you will agree, is spectacular.



I realize this is a bit of a tease since this pen isn't available anywhere else, but I still thought everyone might enjoy seeing it!  I know I was pretty damned happy when it showed up in my mailbox!   :drool:

It's a regular cheapo ink cartridge now, but I'm going to see if I can replace it with a Fisher one.  As they made a bunch of these with the intention of giving them away I can see why they didn't splurge on a fancier cart initially.

Fisher makes generic pressurized cartridges that may fit that.

I'll test fit it with one of the cartridges from a Fisher Bullet that I usually carry and see if it fits.

I'm thinking that's not gonna work. But fisher makes other pressurized refills to fit generic ballpoint pens.
