I hope they make it a good solid adventure, but will probably mess it up like most reboots.

My biggest worry is that it will turn into a political sounding board given the origonal dealt with a lot of environment and social issues. Such issues are even more heated 25y later which is why they are banned here. If they push a narative too far either direction it will offend and kill viewership.

Perhaps that is the point of a team; diffrent chacters to balance views and explore situations. Or not. Evreything is teams now. That's a popular cheat for generic writing just like flashbacks.

As for his SAK; hopefully it will be something in the SwissChamp family so we can have some continuity.
Mabey a special edition would be in order.


I just hope it turns out to be a good fun show.

Apparently they cant tell the difference between a SAK and a flea market switchblade.
So heres some pics, probably same model from the look of the blade. Mine  is fancy though with the colorful stickers instead of just tactical black.

If I remember from the first thread we had here, it looked like a Microtech, and those aren't exactly cheap.

I do have a couple single edge Microtech clones but have never handled a real one.

Just spent the last month binching on the 7 seasons of the original Macgyver. I have to say it does not age very well. On the other hand,  the long haired blond seemingly arrogant hero looks very weird as a Macgyver wannabe in this reboot. But we all know that we're gonna watch the pilot anyways. Hoping for the good
