Hello from Russia with love
on: July 15, 2016, 03:23:20 AM
Hi everybody...
Long time I have been reading most of the topics and had great inspirations from all.
I am a Turkish engineer who has a Russian wife and lives in Russia for the last 7 years.
My adventure with multitools started nearly 2 years ago just after I met with this forum. My first purchase was a Charge TTI which has been stolen just after a month :(
Then I ordered a BO Surge and made it my EDC for a long time until it started to come a little heavy with my other EDC.. So then I had my squirt PS4, great little mate:)
Finally, last week I had my wingman for pocket carry and put my squirt PS4 to my keychain with my fenix E05 and doohickey..
So far, my best experience was with my Surge. During EDC carry of Surge, I didnt need any of my dedicated folders as well.

For my first message, I guess I talked a lot ;)
Greetings to everyone...

I am holding myself hardly not to enter SAK world. Long time, I am also reading victorinox pages here and I am afraid, soon my wallet can give alert if I will buy my first victorinox. (First is the door for all the rest  ::))
But super tinker is already in my list  :climber:

Opel driver, ha? :D And I like the addition of the rubber sleeve over the flashlight, I assume for when you need both your hands free and hold it with your teeth, right?

Yes enki_ck, for the last 5 years we are enjoying our opel astra ;) Time to change maybe, because  our 2 years old boy is growing and paralelly the need for a larger baggage..

And that rubber band, i took from an old pen, is very tight and soft touch.. As you guessed, to hold it with teeth while doing something outdoor  is less painfull now. Side benefit is to make it less percent to have  damages from falling down to ground...

My dad has a Meriva with the same flip key. Just ordered a replacemant case for it a few days ago, that's why I noticed.

I'd recommend a headlamp for outdoors though. I have dozens of flashlights but prefer headlamps.

Hi Neo! Looks like you will fit right in here!

Although personally I would have gone with a Climber, than a Super Tinker.... or an Explorer! (Best of both worlds!)

Good to have you Neo!

As an engineer I'll bet you have some interesting views on what works and why.  I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences!

Congratulations!

I don't you will be disappointed.  The Delemont series used to be Wenger and they had some great innovations.  I'm a huge fan of them, although I don't know if I'll ever get used to seeing a Victorinox shield on a Wenger!   :ahhh

I received my Evolution 23 last week and as far, I feel satisfied with the compact size, weight and build quality of it.  :like:
