Al Mar multi-tools.

I know I do not have any limited edition numbered versions, but I still consider myself lucky in landing these two examples many years ago.

4x4 Tool Mate.

Quick Clip.

Top to bottom: Al Mar Quick Clip, and Al Mar 4x4 Tool Mate.

Fairly unique offerings produced in Japan, these are highly collectible and sought after multi-tools.

It seems like they designed the 4x4 with the Philips on the wrong side of the tool  definitely seems like it would be more convenient to have it on the other side, away from the opposing handle

Beauties!

I have been looking into Al Mar folders and more likely kitchen knives. I may be getting one (kitchen knife) somewhat soon.

Quality and lack of quantity. They fetch a premium price if you can find them. The numbered ones in runs of 200, even more so.

The Al Mars are a very nice tool, but I can't see me EDCing any of mine, particularly not the extra pretty (and very hard to find) engraved Valade version.

If I was to design my perfect multitool, the Al Mar 4x4 would be pretty darned close.

Sweet MT's Chako.  :salute:

I can't look at any of your pics without seeing a shocking lack of armour though. Maybe it's time to remedy that?

You did not stipulate a full set of armor...so to compensate for this challenge, I have included a side arm.  ;)

You do take a nice photo chako  :salute: But I would definitely like to see a suit of armour in your possession at some point - You're quite a way down that road already with the helm and swords - just finish the journey.

I do not have the room for a full set.

Besides, if I do get one, I would have to size it for me...and do you know how hard it would be to get a 3x extra large?

I shan't tell you how much I romped around my home wearing a metal skull container and brandishing a sword when I first got them. I can only imagine what I would do if I had a full suit.  :ahhh

It's inevitable my friend. At some point you will have your very own suit of 3x armour. Even if you have to move or build an extension to accomodate it. You are a completist - it's in your nature.

If you do it enough you will soon need a second set in XXL then later XL...

Behold the new IRON diet... carry a full armor suit all day... profit :tu:

That would have helped, even though I was wearing bike jacket with padded armor, leather gloves, and Marvin the Martian style helmet. Blew the sole right off of one of my boots. It could have been worse. I still see plenty of motorcyclist wearing flip flops, a T shirt, and shorts.

See my comments in the Pokemon thread re: natural selection and copy/paste it here.....

What I love is seeing a guy on a bike and he has jeans, boots, Joe Rocket jacket, helmet and gloves, and the girl on the back has shorty shorts, a tank top, flip flops and a helmet.  I mean seriously, is she that replaceable that she is just there to keep your jacket from getting all rashed up?   :ahhh

Down here in Texas, they don't have a helmet law.  I see organ donors riding two wheelers everyday.

I love Al-Mar knives because they have usually such a wonderful "weight to blade lenght-ratio".
These definetly take that thing away, but still love these, A LOT!
