all of that is messed up. what i don't get is the whole "i'm gonna get fit by playing it" idea. while walking is healthy, one should be doing it for 45 to 90 minutes without stopping

Some kids just don't go out! Something is better than nothing.

My kids are active, but some of their friends are not and it's a struggle to get them to do anything fitness wise. Both my kids play squash and have group junior squash coaching on Saturday mornings. They love it, but when they have invited friends they don't want to get up early (it's mid morning!).

I cannot believe how many grown "men" at work are playing it that don't have kids. It's great if they have kids and do it and go out with them for it, but those without kids who are doing it need to be handing in their man cards forth with.

It has been big news in finland as well. Some people say they have talked to strangers more then ever while playing around streets. Again some say people are walking on streets looking mobile so it is dangerous. At least seems to be trending.

Oh it is trending all right. A friend of mine uploaded the game and was stopped by the police last night. After they explained what they were doing there at that time of night, the police officer asked for details, takes out his cell phone, downloads the app, and joins in.

I don't know if it is real or not but I read a report about some girl walking onto a highway while playing Pokémon Go and blaming the car that hit her.

I tend to believe it since I have almost run into a number of people while biking while they were too busy looking for Pokémons to watch where they were going.

It seems a lot like geocaching, but without having the skills necessary to look around you....

The city of Toronto was trying to prevent folks from texting and crossing the street by instituting a city by-law. Apparently, the Ontario Government put a stop to that. Pokemon Go will only add to the topic.

Quit passing laws to punish people for the stupidity of others.  Let natural selection do its job.

a couple of hours ago I had to yank back a kid because he would have run into traffic. and the thanks i got for not letting him get splattered (ok, i really didn't want to bother with police reports of the accidents and wanted to get to the gym) was him bitching about missing out on a drowzee

Did you tell him how lucky he was that he didn't get a Toyotee or a Hondee up his arsee?

Worst part about it is that if you then push him into traffic to make it up to him you are in the wrong.

They need an overnight marinade to soften them up, but Pikachu fillets on the grill are excellent. :tu:
