I decided to use the file from my old original PST to check to see if it would lock. I didn't want to use my diamond file but they are the same profile.

Notch



Lock up



I made the notch just a hair wider than the Rebar file taking a bit more off the back where the rounded portion is.  The file does lock up
with just a little play. It is a really hard to deploy without a nail nick. I think it would work better to swap positions with the the knife blade. You would then have the cut out in the handle for the file and the nail nick would still be on the right side for the knife blade.

The more I think about it Steve the more the swapping of the file and blade make sense :salute:

Necroing this topic but did PST/PST2 file fitted to Rebar, noticed that some play was there but would deeper nothch solve that play. Im taking today my mod PST2 to apart and thinked would it fit on to Rebar.

Now im between 2 choices, i kinda want diamond file to Rebar but also want file and saw to Gerber Center Drive (now that challenge is coming) both requires bit work to make them to work

The PST/PST II file fits but has to be grinded on a little to make it work properly  :salute: I have one of these files in a Blast and had to grind it similar to what would fit the Rebar :tu: due to the way it is made for the PST II it slips out of the lock even after grinding but if the tool is closed that isn't a problem, plus this type of file never locked in the tools they were designed for anyways :D

I am actually the owner of the file that Steve cut to fit now and it has been great :woohoo: it fits very well, locks up nice and it really is hard to beat the diamond file :tu: :like:
