It worked really well as the pivot size was the same and also the round portion at the butt end was as well. That spray graphite works awesome. It's holding up really well on my ST 300 plier head. It probably will wear off quickly on the saw but it looks great for now.
With light use it's holding up pretty good. I don't think it will hold up to heavier use especially if cutting green wood. The pliers on my ST300 that I sprayed are holding up good as well.
I got it at Home depot . The trick is to degrease the surface really well before spraying. I also heated up the surface with a hair dryer, I think it helped with the bond.
Nice work Steve I was modding some Gerbers earlier today, and wishing I'd got a spare saw blade. I may need to try this at some point
