Super Stack challenge attempt
on: August 04, 2016, 01:31:19 AM
Since I have been EDCing a Champion Plus and an ST300 together for some time now I figure it's time I get postings up on this and try for a challenge badge. After all I carry them both anyway so why not do it together.
If a champion plus doesn't count for a stack let me know I've got an old pocket tool chest hanging around somewhere I can swap it out for. But I was saving that one for the discontinued badge.

So here we go first photos;
The Vic is clipping coupons and the ST300 is cutting order tag cards. Around my shop we use cheap cardboard shims to keep an individual log of everything we pack and ship.

Sorry but challenge badges can't be doubled up on. You must go for them one at a time. All the best with which one you go for.

That's fine. Doing one at a time actually makes my life easier coming up with daily photo opportunities anyway.
Do you mind if I just keep this single thread going and do them back to back; or do you want me to split into two?

I originally purchased 2 of the Champion+ around '02 or '03 at half price in a store closing sale.

The first was lost during a date with my future wife. After that I started using a watch chain for my SAKs; now its a braided lanyard.

Edit:
Need to work on my photos for some reason it's cutting off when I post and only shows the whole image when you click on it

 Day6 monday morning
I know I could have gotten a week out of this craft project but I wont

Heres a picture tutorial on how to make a 'super shooter' balloon slingshot.
Note: I'm using a 9in balloon it works best with 12-16in one

Pt 2
Make sure tip of balloon is centered when putting it on.
Once you put the baloon over the ridge at the base of the threads put the ring back on then roll remaining rubber down to "lock" it all in place

To shoot
Hold as shown
Drop shot in pouch
And use like a regular slingshot

It also a works for small item storage, like its own ammo, since the cap can still be screwed on.

Day 7 Tuesday
After walk dog grooming. While not as good as the horse brush, the fish scaler does a pretty good job.
Figured it would work. It has served as my comb for at least a decade when ever I let my own hair grow too long.
My wife has never seen me buy an actual comb

Now if only I could get the dog to hold still for photos.
And mabey borrow DocOc's arms to hold the phone steady.

Sorry back to sideways pics

Okay well I found the ID on that Wenger
It's a  no16935 "monarch" in the 1970 catalog
Guess all I really had to do was read the old catalogs, lazy me
Mine must be a little newer since it doesn't have the bail on it. Thats the only change from catalog on sakwiki

My experience is shots taken with phones suffer from that (the width-height ratio on phone cams may be different than on real cameras). What I do is, upload the file to my computer, open the image there, rotate it in any direction, save, then rotate back and save. You can do that with an app on your phone, too. I didn't compare the two files, so dunno the difference but it works, FYI...

Unfortunately it seems to be rotating to compensate on its own.
My early photos all turned 1/4 rotation counter clockwise. So I turned a couple 1/4 clockwise to see if It would fix it, and It did. Then i got lazy and let it do what it wanted for a few.

The pic of the Monarch with the Champ+ however; I rotated 1/4 clockwise to fix and it rotated 1/2 counter clockwise when posted. So when I took it the blades where "up" I rotated so blades pointed right, and after posting it rotated on its own so blades are now pointing left. Makes one dizzy :ahhh
I am just going to leave them be from now on and to use an old line "whatever happens, happens"

I finally got them. I've been putting it off for some time; I've been missing my eyeglass screwdriver for several years now. I did steal the one out of my wife's SAK, but I lost that one too. So I finally ordered some new ones

Day12 Saturday
Picked up a VictorinoxBantam with the Ford blue oval advertising scales. This particular one has no lanyard ring tweezer toothpick or Victorinox shield on the scale. Figured I'd do some pics of it next to the Champion+ showing the appropriate tool comparisons given that it's only a 2 blade knife.

Day 13 monday
Yes it is really monday
I know I know. I said on Day 12 that it was Saturday when it was Sunday, Day11 was Saturday.
Now  that I have that mix up out of the way;

My saftey glasses broke. While I don't need them for work I do need them for the range. Good thing I got those eyeglass screwdrivers on Saturday. Quick disassembly, dab of construction adhesive, and reassemble when dry.

Day 16 Thursday
There is a story that goes with this frozen pizza. Many of you in the US might remember Taco pizzas in the school cafeteria being one of the better things that they served. Most of those schools or purchasing those from one of Schwan's food service labels. Schwan also owns Red Baron, so the Red Baron Mexican pizza actually tastes just like that favorite for when we were in school.
