well, like a dummy I waited too long and that bushcraft version out of stock, most of the heavy duty and carbon steel gone also, but not sure I want to deal with oiling it anyway, looking at the

Morakniv Craftline Pro S utility version now, have 2 companions already, anybody have this version, I like the extra bolsters

The reg Companion in SS is still a great buy!!! $8.21

You can bet these deals were posted all over the bushcraft forums as well.....I probably should have got some Bushcraft Blks at 25 bucks ea. but I'm only interested in the Garbergs.

happy to help out, yeah I know what you mean, there's a certain flashlight forum that are deal nazi's, not sure what the issue is there, but they sure like to close threads of good deals. If I can save a few bucks here and there, I'm all for it, and helping you guys out is added bonus since I have gotten so much great info from here over the years.

so i was playing around with just arrived fireknife striking the steel against the blade spine and it was not sparking, muttering to myself this thing sucks...

then I look at the picture on back of package and see your supposed to hold steel in place and move the knife and whammo, sparks flying everywhere, now I smell like the top of a bic lighter

and its razor sharp, very nice product  and if there's a cooler name then fireknife I would be shocked

Thats a pretty neat design.
I wonder how well just a beltloop with the button  on the side would work.
Back in the old days, the button loop was the way a knife was carried here. Usually hanging from one of the suspender buttons.
This old drawing of a troll illustrate it quite nicely.

Nice solution, it's not uncommon to see workwear here with a pocket made for the sheath and a button to hold it in place. I don't know if these are international or if it's an adaption to the widespread use of the Mora knives here on the home market.

Cool. I didn't know it had a name. My design is kinda rough, but the only tool required is a knife. It should last me until suspenders make a comeback.
