Let us know how you get on with it. If it is anything like the Mora 2000, it should be a good one.

It came "Mora" sharp.  After a quick strop it's as good as you could want it to be.  Yes, the same multi-mount you can get with the Garberg can be had for the Kansbol as well.

The weekend camp went well enough, though a little less rain might have been good. ::)  The Kansbol performed very well and didn't miss a beat.  I do like the slight soft touch to the grip and the shape is very comfortable.  No complaints about the sheath either.  All-in-all I've got no reason for complaint.  However, is it worth three or four times what you'd pay for a basic Mora?  I'm not sure it is TBH, but it's certainly a good knife.  Oh, the nice square spine is very well done.

Glad it's working out Gareth  :tu: I know what you mean though about the cost difference,I held my 746 the other day and my 2000,tbh I would be just as happy with the cheaper 746 ,it's one of the reasons I can't see me buying the Garberg due too it's high price and is it any better than a cheaper mora other than being full tang?

Cheers mate.  I was doing a little whittling with it last night (nothing specific, just removing wood) and it was a pleasure to use.  Partly due to the slim profile at the tip, partly due to the extremely comfortable handle.  I also did a little light battoning and it did OK.  I'm not a fan of battoning huge lumps of wood anyway and reserve it for making small bits of kindling for fire starting.

More good info!!!! I'm kicking around the idea of one but can't really justify it (like that's stopped me before :D)!  I have two Garbergs so I'm resting a little on the Mora front right now.  :salute:

Based on my experience with the Light My Fire Fireknife, I think I'd like me a Kansbol.

Still wonderin' about the Garberg.

I'm very torn about recommending the Kansbol.  On one hand it's definitely the best Mora that I own.  On the other I'm sure it's not four times better than an entry level Mora.  All I can say is that I'm not sorry I bought one, but I'm also glad I found a deal on it.

I don't think there is a huge difference between a More Kansbol and a mora 2000 ,if you have a Garberg I would leave it at that, :tu:

Well Mora did have a poll on Instagram if you'd rather have a Kansbol or a Bushcraft. I saw a lot of Kansbol replies, although I'd personally fall in the Bushcraft camp at this point

I've never even held a Bushcraft as far as I can recall.  Any particular reason you like it?

I appreciate your insight, gentlemen :salute:

The truth is that between my Glock 81 Feldmesser and some of my Mora knives (Companion, Fireknife, Bahco Laplander knife, 510) I think most of my bushcraft knife needs are met.

The Garberg is one solid piece of stainless goodness, the Kansbol, however, I find more appealing to me and probably closer to my needs.

I don't need either one, why do I keep tormenting my poor ol' brain? :ahhh
