Help Identify this year model on this leatherman please.

Sometimes they are hard to read but I'm sure that it would have date stamps.

I would guess 1996-97 due to the PST handles they used up until they switched to the PST II marked handles.

Steve knows what he is talking about and yes it should have date codes :tu: All LM from 1993 til at least 2004 all have them  There are a few models that don't now but all the old school ones had date codes once they starting putting them in 93

Thanks you two. Didn't doubt Steve.
Don't want to ask too many questions at this stage. The seller will start thinking!!
Not many PST II around this area. Seemed a bit odd with PST II insides with PST handles.

The only bad thing about the early model PST II's are that the scissors had a design flaw which they remedied later on.  It is an easy fix though.

Thanks Steve. This one I bought yesterday was al good on the scissors side. But the file is worn out and awl has broken tip.
Now I need some spare parts for this. You were spot on with the Date stamp. 0497

Nice find GoHard!!!

They did not come with an awl only the PST did. Post a pic of the tool once you get it. It is usually the small screw driver that gets bent or broken.

I can help with a PST file in reasonable condition. I also have a few spare drivers. Let me know what you need.

Cheers,

Pete

Thanks Pieter. Correct about the awl. Realised after I posted. Also need to get the proper tool to undo the screws.

Get into contact with Loki-mobile, I have a set he makes and they are fantastic. He might have some parts too, PM him with a description.

The screws may be a little hard to get out, use patience. Let me know if you need any help. I have taken a few PST's and PST II's apart.

Cheers,

Pete
