I would do it like you want...it's not like there isn't dozens of Camillus versions to pick up off the bay to fill the Electrician role. I would be an easy way to get a nice two bladed Jack out of it.

Sound reasoning and I also have this on the way   :tu:

Another Imperial but with wood scales this time, which is what i thought I was getting on the first one

Another fine example!!!!!

That came out great Steve! :tu: I love TL-29's. You'll be seeing some of my Camillus ones soon in here. :)

Today though, I went with another US made Camillus, this one a Remington marked Stockman. Brass liners, carbon stell, snd just a beautifully put together knife. Solid as hell! :tu:

Traditional Challenge Day 2

#07 Case Mini Trapper single stainless Wharncliffe blade, second cut antique bone scales

Honestly, I don't carry this one as much as I should because I favor traditional slipjoints with at least 2 types of blades.  This single blade frame sure makes it slim and easy to carry though.  The grind on this one is slightly hollowed and it's a mean slicer.

(Image removed from quote.)

Would be a nice "Sunday go to meetin' knife".

Ha! That's a phrase Ive not heard in a long time! You sure your not from Belfast Robert?

Got my lambsfoot/wharncliffe again.  Quiet day for it today - just opening a couple of packages and slicing some fruit so far.

Have ordered a couple of cheap trad knives to try for the rest of the month too: a Sodbuster and a Barlow.    :D

Yep.  It's a great "gentleman's" knife!

Another great day of traditionals so far guys!   Well done on that reprofile Steve.

Kirky, I've not seen a Case like that before.  Are those nylon scales?

Just found the link... I forgot about the Stickies section in Tapatalk. These are my two, a Christy and my Black Cat. Honestly, will probably use the Christy more than the larger knife because I don't need much knife at work as a desk jockey (re: aerospace buyer).

Nice! Those Zytel handles are for the cheap knives, but they look pretty cool in their own right. You don't need fancy jigged bone to look good! (PS: Hope you don't mind, I took your link out so it would hide the pic.)

You got that right, nothing slices like a Black Cat or an Opinel. Anyone who's a fan of Nick Shabazz knows they're the perfect choice for your high speed, low drag cutting operations. :tu: And that's a cool picture!

Day 2

Another Case, as almost all of my traditional knives are. This one — if I remember right — is a small Texas Jack in Winterbottom sunset bone. I was trying to figure out what that last part meant (i.e. "Who/where was Winterbottom?") and found this very informative page.

Here we are with some clematis, which just received some very dearly needed rain today.

I'm not sure if I can do this challenge as I was planning on doing the Rebar challenge in September, but maybe I'll pause and pick it up again in October if that is allowed. In any case, here's my Schrade Old Timer model 340.

Case has had a little use today already.  The previous occupants of my house had tried to screw a hook to the back of the bathroom door.  Sadly, as it's a hollow door this had never worked very well.  So I've decided to try one of these self adhesive hooks to take it's place.  The knife came in to trim away the puckering in the wood caused by the screws and make a good flat surface for the adhesive strip to grip on to.

I disliked the original idea but it turned out really cool! Great shape, the cut on the spine is great for guiding the tip for precision cutting.

:hatsoff:  :tu:

Took a simple navaja-like folder. Locking blade, very light and small. The little flap on the top is the release. The regular EDC Rally is for size comparison.

That's an awesome knife bud!!!!!

Thanks, but it's a very cheap one. The shape is nice, cuts very well but the handles are cheap plastic. Only good thing is the patern. I'll try to get a better pic next time I carry it.

Today: Opinel #6 Bubinga. Mirror blade, laser sharp, smooth and warm to hold (yup, that's what I said).
