Blade mod on Imperial Electricians knife
on: August 17, 2016, 06:58:39 PM
Decided to turn the screwdriver blade into a Wharncliffe or is it a lambsfoot style blade.   ???

I think it turned out well and is nice and sharp.

If I was a mod, I would give you a Hacker badge. Unless you have one already. I can't tell on the mobile. Either way, nice job man! Looks like it came from the factory that way.

I cut the majority off with a Dremel cut off disk then finished it up on my bench grinder.

Great job!     Sort of reminds me of the sheepsfoot on the Schrade Tough Tool.  Should be really good for fine detail cuts--it would make a great whittling knife.

I'd try this myself on a junker Ric-Nor I got in a cheap beater lot that's easy to replace cheap (they don't bring more than ten bucks in great shape, mine's really beat up), but I'm prone to goofing up royally.

Pics does not do justice on how well Steve modded this knife. You should see it in person. To my surprise there was a package in my mail box today from Steve with this beautiful knife in it.
Thanks again Steve.
