LM Pulse scissor spring
on: August 24, 2016, 03:18:40 AM
It's kind of a long shot, I know, but I figured I'd ask if anyone has a spare scissor spring for an LM Pulse I have.  Everything else on it works, the scissors technically work (two-handed), so I was really hoping to replace this one piece.

So, anybody hanging on to one of these? :pok:  Thanks!

Warranty ?
Thanks, yeah, I actually emailed the warranty department a while back.  They told me they'd be glad to replace it with a new tool (which I appreciated, as I told them I bought this secondhand), but they didn't have any replacement parts on hand for the Pulse.

So I suppose it's an option, but I like the idea of keeping the retired Pulse if I can fix it up somehow.  I've thought about swapping in a different tool, or maybe taking the opportunity to become a machinist and fashion a new spring ;)

Keep checking with them from time to time, when someone else gave up his old tool they would keep the good parts for repair.

I think a pair of scissors from a Blast or Wave would fit and might be your best option.

Good point, it's probably been long enough to ask again.  Thanks!

Thanks Steve, I had that thought, as I actually have a spare pair of Wave scissors.  The thumb tab goes the other direction, so I would have to rearrange the tools, less access to a nail nick'ed driver.  Just nitpicking here, as this is probably the most likely plan.

I missed that the thumb tab was going the other way. Might be worth checking with LM again  :tu:

Let us know what you end up doing either way :tu: I hope you can get a replacement for it or like Kampfer said just keep asking LM if they happen to have Pulse parts from time to time
