I bought Swedish military winter coats  years ago from SG, wore them a bunch and they are still in great shape....although I "out grew" them....my grand kids still wear then when they come over. That northern European surplus gear is tops.

I placed a order for two of the used axes....didn't really see a size for the "NEW" hatchet and really don't think I need something that small. Also ordered some other items I've had my eye on. But not the surp German Binoculars....been wanting those for awhile but can't swing them just yet. Probably should have gone with the buyers club  offer but I need to spend money with them like I need a hole in my head.

They're here!

The Ax is marked "KB 44" with the the Three Crowns....has a 27" handle (24" from the head).

The Hatched is unused  and stamped "CF" over an "L"...has a 15.5" handle.

Overall, they are in great shape!!!!  I'm very pleased with them!

It's a nice ax for $19.95!

That sounds Finnish to me.
Its a pretty good bargain for a properly forged axe. :tu:

From what I've read other places, this is the 2nd or 3rd time these have been offered and they always sell out really fast.

The new military hatchet is still in stock.

Maybe I should have ordered 3 or 4 instead of 2.....ah well maybe next time. Hope one of my 2 is a good one at least. Something I learned a long time ago, when buying surplus get a few and sort from there. Esp when talking about a $100+ ax for $20....

Still waiting on mine.

Did yours come with sheaths like was pictured?
