on: October 07, 2016, 09:25:37 PM
Dear users,

I recently bought this MP600 on eBay - can you please confirm that it is a real one?

"USA" isn't printed on, so I assume that it is real.  Most of the MP's that are China-made fakes have the "USA" printed on.

Thank you for the answear. U.S.A. is stamped and the quality seems to be very good! This multitool was used - it had little dirt and sand in it so
I cleaned it with "Ballistol"  :angel:

here's a pic of the toolset...

if you compare the tools with the multitool described in this youtube-video you will realize some
similarities in quality and construction (especially on minute 9:37 & 12:31 - I know it is a different model but it should be the same quality).

This is why I assume that it is a genuine one but I still want to be sure :angel:

PS: because of the light, the screwdrivers shape looks little different but under good exposure it looks very similar to the one in this video.

I agree that it looks like a genuine Gerber.  I've yet to see a fake MP600 with replaceable wire cutters (I'm not saying that they won't get around to it someday, but so far I haven't seen one).  Most fakes I've seen have the huge cap crimpers in the pliers. as well as the "USA" printed in white.

Yep, Chako broke down the counterfeit in this sticky;

The printed on USA is definitely the easiest way to tell.
