It sounds almost like they might be trying something different than a traditional butterfly opening tool. Maybe a return of the ToolClip, or finally a Pocket PowerLock?

I do wish they hadn't released pictures of their ugliest knife though. Seriously, their money clip knife is just hideous.

The Switchplier 2.0 and the Reactor were steps in the right direction. Even the Powerplay if they didn't have the bulging locks. Looking forward to what's next from them

I saw the same news on Facebook earlier. I'm not impressed with the money clip knife but the prospect on new tools has me ears perked up. I like my switchplier and want a reactor. Looking forward to 2017

I kid. I'm half excited it'll be awesome and half nervous it'll be embarrassing.

If you're half excited, you're probably more excited than me  :P I am however both intrigued and ready to face palm at the comment that there has been nothing of the size or form of the new tools before. It sounds ambitious......

It is a very difficult market they're fighting in, where there I strong and established competition, and also where the consumer expects higher quality than they are prepared to pay for. I expect the new releases to be aimed more at the affordable end of the spectrum, and incur some of the necessary compromises to achieve that, but I'm hoping to be pleasantly surprised  :)

It would be great if they make a pocket powerlock traveler. I like the travel but it's too make and holds me back. I wish it could be in a pocket powerlock.

I've been holding out for a Pocket PowerLock since I joined the forum. Why SOG hasn't done this yet I'll never know, it is a huge no brainer.

Can you imagine that with a good pocket clip?

Now add the gear-covers and give us either the PowerPlier style head with crimper or the PowerPlay/Reactor head with driver and we're looking at a winner!

Bring back the Palladin PT510 pliers with gear covers, load it out with the innards from a PST II (but with the mini driver from a Sideclip), and add a pocket clip

I'd say SOG has gotten a solid jump on 2017 with the release of ToolClip 3.0. Looks like sLaughter called it.

Wonder What's Next...

The closest they've had was the SOG/Paladin Power Tool series, I believe.

Greetings everyone. I got a chance to look at the 2017 SOG Catalog today :gimme:

Some pretty cool new tools coming out. 2 new belt buckle MT's the SYNC I, 4.4" length MSRP: $67 & SNC II, 5.8" length, MSRP: $80
4 different versions of a Baton type MT called Q1, Q2, Q3, and Q4. Strangely no prices for these in the catalog.
A "PowerGrab" MT
A "PowerAccess" MT

Pretty cool stuff. I really am amazed at the "SNYC's" though. Gotta get me some of that!!!!
