what do you eat when youre hiking/backbacking?

I found these at the grocery and tried them out this year...retort pouched Curries. These and boil-in-the bag rice made an easy meal.

This is pretty bizarre. I just ate that exact same one as the middle packet for dinner about 1 hour ago with some rice...

You are right, though I found the chick pea curry to be a little weaker than the others to be honest. I might add a little extra kick next time to that one... 

I only started buying those Indian food pouches about 2 weeks ago. There are 3 brands I have tried  - 2 of them are in your picture. They are all good. Haven't decided on my favourites yet.

I usually use MREs or other ready to eat meals.  I am going to seriously look into those dehydrated products listed above--thanks for posting those!
