Day 11: This first knife that I'm going to post isn't what I am carrying today, or any day really for that matter. It is too special to me. I just felt that it should be included in my challenge. The knife and model truck were an anniversary gift from my girlfriend this past August. She searched pretty hard for it and I'm sure it wasn't cheap b/c it is the 125th anniversary edition. It is pretty neat because we started dating in 2014, the same year that only 2,000 of these were made to celebrate Case's 125th anniversary. It really touched me that she got this for me, b/c she does not understand why I collect so many knives and MTs, but she continues to put up with me and support whatever i do and even bought that really special knife for me b/c she knew I would cherish it.

For anyone interested the knife is a Peanut and the scales are olive bone.

Now for what I am carrying. I went back to the Russlock today. I own 4 Case knives including the 125th anniversary Peanut mentioned above and I really enjoy them. Sorry about repeating so many carries this challenge but I just enjoy Case knives and these I am less hesitant to carry (with the exception of the 125th anniversary Peanut) because I bought them for myself and they are not heirlooms.

Day 12: another one of my grandpa's knives today. This one is a Craftsman and is definitely a scout knife. Another very special knife to me. We lost him to cancer on Christmas day a few years ago, so this time of year is bittersweet in some respects, but in others it helps me recall all of the fond memories we had together. I used to work for him when I was a kid, and we had many bonding experiences. He instilled a lot of the values that I have in me today.

+1 That is a very great knife gdoo :like: It reminds me of the small 2 blade Craftsman that I had in my thread :tu: I imagine that the emblem and handles may have looked like this on mine at some point as well but it being smaller wore faster maybe  :tu:

Your right knives that have stories are better :like:

Nice one

Why is it called peanut knife ?

I was looking it up and far as I can tell it is basically because of the shape of the handle and that it is a smaller knife  :tu:
