I had a pine tree on my property which died this summer, unfortunately. However, it was getting crowded out and most of the interior was dead and dry, so I suppose it was only a matter of time. I figured it would be easier to strip it down with it standing up, so I started going at it with my Condor machete. That was slow going though, so I snapped a pic and switched to my BK-9.
A little while later and it was pretty much bare (aside from a bit at the top I didn't bother with). This is actually the first time I've used my BK-9, normally I just have to work with green stuff and the machete does great. The heft of the BK-9 was perfect for driving through these branches though.
Now I just need to chop it down, which gives me a good chance to get the axe badge! That's for tomorrow though. Thanks for looking!

May it be as the Pattern has chosen.
