Best Multitool and accessories combo!
on: December 07, 2016, 04:37:35 PM
Hello friends,
I am new to this forum and hope to learn much from you all in the days to come. I thought I will post a photo of my multitool and accessories set, for you to see and tell me what you think. This is Victorinox swisstool with some additional bits, all packed into one pouch.
I also own a Leatherman Charge Tti with extender and all attachments and additional bits to go with it.
I am currently enjoying the Victorinox for it's finish and usefulness, especially the ratchet which is a priceless handy tool to carry around.
Regards,
Anand SK

You're quite set...
The Spirit and a Charge TTI, both awesome multitools.

Nice loadout, and I just love that mini whistle!

Love it!

Welcome.  The magnet and whistle are great additions to the kit.  We are doing a challenge this month involving the Swiss tool Spirit in the SAK forum. Why don't you join the challenge.  You're only a week late but that's not usually a problem as long as you complete the 31 days.

Thanks so much friends for your kind comments and welcome messages.
The magnet does not affect the way the tools are set snugly in the pouch. As you can see in one of the side views, the magnet is slid inside the ratchet extender.

I will checkout the SAK forum and what the competition is all about!

After using the leatherman Charge TTi with the bit extender to assemble a 5 foot high wooden rack bought from Target, I decided to buy the Swisstool Spirit Plus with the ratchet. With the Leatherman, my palms hurt real bad, and I had to wrap a towel around the folded tool to hold it tightly and tighten the screws of the rack. The folded tool had too many projections on both sides, that did not allow me to hold it tightly and turn screws repeatedly.

But all that problem is non existent in the Victorinox Swisstool Sispit plus, because it is very smooth whether it is operated in open or closed position. Then again, I end using the ratchet and extender with bits all the time, and never get to use the main tool for screwing or unscrewing stuff. The ratchet tool is extremely handy to hold and work with, and is able to handle even big flat straight screws and philips screws.

Nice to see another enthusiast and MT addict here, your pics are very nice, as are your choices.

I really REALLY  :like: that whistle of yours, as I EDC one in my keychain but this is a neat alternative.
