Practice/trainer pocketknife recommendations for my toddler

Howdy all-
I need some recommendations for a trainer or 'practice' pocketknife for my young son (<2 yrs).  He's completely fascinated by my various knives and multitools, and I'd like to get him something 'realish' (not plastic), but with a rounded/unsharpened blade that he can carry and learn basic safety skills on.

I thought I had seen a trainer victorinox/SAK at some point, but now I can't find it.  Any suggestions?

I've only seen trainers for Spyderco, Benchmade and other tactical knives like that.

I'll be interested if you find the SAK equivalent.
Closest I think is the Leatherman Leap but it still has the sharp wood saw.

Thanks!
That will work if I can't find something else, but I was really hoping for something non-plastic. Even looking at some of the spyderco fighting trainers and such, but most of those are too expensive and bulky.

Trust me with toddlers plastic is the way to go!  :tu:

Go for plastic first. Though you can always buy a small SAK and remove the edge, the spring of the slip joint is strong enough to crack his finger at this age.  You can always change to something more real when you think appropriate.

I had one of these at that age:

Carried it right up until I got my first knife at age 9 or 10.

i'd be a fan of the theo klein plastic SAK - i got one earlier this year for my niece, though she was five i think. dunno if it's suitable for <3 years, you gotta be careful, EVERYTHING goes into their mouth when they're small, but i guess you already know that.

Great ideas, thanks all!

I really like that wooden CRKT multitool kit--might give that one a shot!

I got my first pocketknife (not a toy) at age 3, still not sure what my dad was thinking!  Somehow my fingers survived, but I'd prefer not to start my own son QUITE so early...

I too got my own knives and stuff at a similar age, including a Tourist and a Mora Scout (with the point rounded off). Mostly I had to be supervised to be allowed to use them but at that age you're usually ever so happy to have such grown up things that are actually yours that you're fine with using it supervised.

There are more options at www.kleckerknives.com if you are interested.   Glenn Klecker designed the wooden knife and wooden multitool kits for CRKT.

Glenn is a great guy to deal with too.  He was a member here long ago, although no one is supposed to know that.  :P

Some trivia for you, he was also the guy that designed the Skeletool when he was at Leatherman, and you can see similar design elements in his CRKT knives like the NIRK.

Finally settled on the Victorinox-lookalike by Theo Klein.  Was a big hit, the first evening I came in the kitchen to find my wife opening Amazon boxes with my leatherman---our little man was on the other end of the box, trying to help cut it open with his new pocketknife  :climber:

Great decision - It will be a fave toy for ages.

Got my wee man one a few years ago - He still plays with it from time to time - even though he is seven and has his own Leap and real SAK.
Eg. - He took it away with him on holiday this Christmas.

My daughter plays with her Theo Klein occasionally, but if she snatches my wife's Classic there's no prying it out of her tiny hands until she gets bored.
Corwyn of Multitool, the First of His name, King of Victorinox, King of Leatherman, Gerber and the First Generation SOG, Lord of the Seven Wrenches, Protector of the Forum, Khal of the Bushes, called Corwyn Toolborn, the Unsharpened, Father of SAKs.
