I promise you its a painfully true story. It wasn't until later when it was all fixed that any of us saw the funny side. It's a miracle we didn't start punching each other.

Oh yes. We were in Paris and would normally be found at Irish / English themed bars in the evenings. I saw the guy shift 16 pints one night - and then walk back to his hotel. Jesus could he drink.....

Sounds like my Uncle, give him larger or beer and he'll drink it till the cows come home and be fine......however give him red wine and within a glass he's all over the shop....quite funny to watch actually!

Maybe that's why he used the phrase "Gimme a beer - yer can keep that French P**s" a lot? Not always a popular turn of phrase in paris
