Scissor-less SAKs top the list for me, 58mm without scissors especially.
They are all good

But why defeats a knife the purpose of a knife?
I guess because if just going for a blade and forgoing the tools, there are better pocket knives out there, with better blade steels etc.
Quote from: Oxford_Guy on January 06, 2017, 09:24:17 AMI guess because if just going for a blade and forgoing the tools, there are better pocket knives out there, with better blade steels etc.Of course "better" is very much in the eye of the beholder... if easy sharpening is a priority then Victorinox's blade steel might become "better" than S30V. And something like an alox Excelsior or Solo is about as slim and pocketable as any of the competition. So the single-blade SAKs do have their advantages.
I don't think the solo is a terrible knife. I had to pick one and that's it. Like I said, one that's bad for you might be just right for the next guy. It also doesn't mean I wouldn't buy one.

They are way better steels that last longer and sharpen easily. Also would be nice to see some different blade shapes also.
