I don't have a Swisschamp but if I only had to choose just one SAK, that's what I would have.

Master Craftsman perhaps, 5 layers, but relatively thin ones, and overall a very high tool density (every back layer has a tool), largest I would feel comfortable pocket carrying (on a Tec P7 dangler clip). Plus the Space Shuttle inlay is cool. I'd miss the mag glass and inline Phillips driver layer of my Yeomans, though, which I do really like.

I almost always pair my alox Vagabond with another SAK. The other SAK depends on what tools I expect to use.

But if I could only carry one SAK I think I would choose the CyberTool 34 most of the time. It's simply the best compromise in useful tool density and size.

My choice would be my Craftsman. I spent many years with both the Champion and Swiss Champ but found them too big for daily carry and they packed tools I never used (a fish scaler? Come on...). I found the Craftsman had all the tools I wanted without any I didn't and it's been my go-to SAK ever since.

I've recently moved up from a ranger to a handyman, although it's on a belt hangar I'm finding it a tad heavy so may go back again, not used the pliers yet but suspect that the limited opening could be an issue

I had to think a bit about this one, but I'm going with the Pioneer X.  For any of the other implements I'm missing, I would be fine with dedicated tools, or another MT.  But I wouldn't want to give up anything on the PX, and I really like how it carries.

I'm liking my Explorer for the magnifier. It's basically a Climber with the mag/ inline Philips layer.  The only thing I would add would be the saw for emergencies only.

As a matter of fact,  after getting the Explorer,  I've removed the ever-present Classic from my keychain,  and reverted back to a vintage Utilikey, hoping to offset the extra bulk of the Explorer.

That would make it a Woodsman then, I think? Sadly discontinued, except for a special Mexican run

Funny that Vic discontinued models that we would perceive as ideal, but might cannibalize another Vic model's sales.  I'm sure Vic would prefer we buy two, or three knives instead of just one.  Woodsman, Yeoman, anyone?

Aye. I'm freaking loving it. Cheap find. Perfect form factor, and with enough use history that it can be pocket carried without a second thought.
Now I just need a bantam version to keep it company.

Picking only one SAK for all scenarios, is like trying to pick only one pair of shoes for hiking, playing tennis, working in a foundry, formal occasions, and lounging about the house. I'll pass  :D

Quite! This is why most of us own a bunch of SAKs, not just one...
