Surge Plier teeth/serrations?
on: February 13, 2017, 01:20:57 AM
Does anybody know why the leatherman surge has deeper groove teeth on the jaws than say...a leatherman mut? I did purchase the mut a few years before the surge so the question is, do all heavy-duty leatherman's now have the newer plier head with the larger teeth including the newest muts?

The mut of course is on the left with the smaller serrations...I kinda like them better even though they wear easier

As far as I know they changed all the plier heads (heavy duty and regular duty models) a few years back to the more coarse teeth  I like them both and each has there own pros and cons ;) :D They may have changed this due to the fact you mentioned though, that they wear out easier :salute:
