Moving Up to Surge..
on: February 18, 2017, 05:15:54 AM
A friend of mine has an older super tool and it's very broken in and worn. He likes the one handed aspects of the Surge and also the scissors. Should he try to send in his st for warranty work or just upgrade to the Surge?

I knew my wife was a keeper when she transitioned from calling it a knife thingy to a multi-tool.

I don't see why he couldn't just send in the Supertool and go and buy a Surge to use while the Supertool is gone :tu: He will know whether he likes the Surge or not by the time his other tool returns from LM

He should buy a surge and a pair of suspenders to keep his trousers up.

That is the only thing I don't like about my Surge.

I don't have a problem carrying the Surge, it's my favorite LM to be honest

I kinda like super tool more. It depends how much he likes the scissors as I would say that is the best reason to go for Surge.

There are pros and cons to both tools,I've had both and used them in a maintenance job I had a few years ago,as I carried a folder I wasn't so bothered about the oho blade on the surge and the scissors are usefull to a point, but the main things I used was the driver's so prefered the ST longer drivers over the stubby bit drivers, but as said both good tools  :salute:
