Gerber Box Cutter
« on: February 11, 2007, 09:09:48 am »
I've been looking at one of these at Wal-Mart for a while now and tonight I finally picked on up.  I'm very pleased with the quality of it. The blade is held tightly in place with no wobble what so ever and the fit and finish is great.  IMO a great buy for $10 bucks.

Thoae look kind of neat!  I may have to look into one of those as well.  I have recently been fascinated with the SuperKnife type of knives, and it seems that the standard razor blade is coming back in style.  Pretty cool if you ask me.

I was eyeballing one of those online the other day. I didn't know they had them at Wally's though.

It locks open using a liner lock.  I don't know were it is made. I can't find any markings on it and I threw away the box.

Just picked the Gerber EAB up today myself.  Made in China.  Very nice.  Here's a couple more pics to see construction.

Couple more now that I'm finally getting pretty good at closeups.

I think someone else mentioned this previously, but I'd like to see a plier multitool with that same fold-out razor knife.

This looks cool, but I'll probably wait until it gets paired up with another Gerber product in one package...or maybe it is already.

I remember getting my forst 600 plier tool that came with a LED light, and a Paraframe knife with the Solstice scissor tool.

I'd like to have a multitool with both replaceable blades & hex bits.  Then it could all be beat up & keep working.

I've found a couple problems with the EAB.  First there is no proper stop for the closure so the blade edge contacts the inside of the frame.
